Investors in the Indian Ocean
A register of the institutions that actually deploy capital in this region, kept at firm level. Every profile is here because the firm agreed to be, and any firm can remove itself in one click.
Capital exists in the Indian Ocean. What is missing is the map. A founder in Antananarivo, Port Louis or Victoria who wants to know which institutions finance a business of their size, in their sector, has no single place to look - and the global directories that rank for the query list registered vehicles alongside real deploying funds without distinguishing between them.
This register does distinguish. It holds firms, not people: a fund's name, its type, the sectors and instruments it works in, the ticket range it is comfortable with and the geographies it covers. There are no email addresses or telephone numbers in it, at any access tier, because the underlying table has no column for them. Contact happens after both sides agree to it, arranged by a named person on our team.
The Indian Ocean is not one market and the register does not pretend otherwise. Madagascar's financing gap sits mostly in growth capital for established SMEs; Mauritius is a financial centre whose licensed population includes a large number of holding and structuring vehicles that never deploy locally; Réunion is inside the European Union and its instruments follow French and EU rules; the Comoros and Seychelles are small enough that a handful of institutions matter more than a long list. A page that treats them as interchangeable is not useful to anyone.
What KAPEX adds to a directory is the screening. Projects submitted to the platform are reviewed by the Capital & Funding Cluster's analysts before anything reaches an investor, and they reach only the investors whose stated mandate they fall inside - never above the ceiling that investor set. That is the whole product: fewer, better-matched files, and no cold introductions in either direction.
What KAPEX does not do
- No success fee
- No contact data sold, and none released without consent
- Every investor sets their own weekly deal-flow ceiling

Create my investor profileFrequently asked questions
- Does KAPEX charge a success fee?
- No. Submitting a project, being screened, being introduced and being followed up are free for founders, and there is no commission on any capital raised.
- Are investors' contact details published?
- Never. The public register is firm-level only and has no field for an email address or telephone number. Direct contact opens after a verified investor and a project holder both agree to it.
- How does a firm get listed, corrected or removed?
- Firms are listed with their agreement, and any firm can claim its profile to correct it. Removal is one click, needs no account, takes effect immediately and is permanent - a delisted firm is never brought back by a later import.
- Does KAPEX rank or score investors?
- No. Listings are ordered alphabetically. We publish verified facts and their sources; we do not publish merit ratings, match percentages or league tables.
